With a proud history and a strong reputation for delivering precision components to industries including automotive, aerospace, marine, and agriculture, this is an excellent opportunity for a capable finance professional to join a collaborative and committed team. This hands‑on, full‑time role is based on‑site, with some flexibility in hours, and offers the chance to take ownership of the business’s day‑to‑day financial operations while supporting its continued growth and success.
- Managing overall finances across the business and its international subsidiaries
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including commentary, KPIs, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries
- Carrying out balance sheet and bank reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, and payroll administration (approx. 30 employees)
- Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers, including monthly BACS runs
- Preparing year‑end accounts for external accountants and liaising on tax and compliance matters
- Administering R&D tax credit claims, maintaining fixed asset registers, and supporting other ad‑hoc finance tasks
We are looking for a AAT‑qualified professional, or someone with equivalent experience, who has strong hands‑on accounting skills and experience managing the finances of a small business - manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential. The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and highly attentive to detail, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across departments while supporting a well‑respected assistant.
Previous payroll experience and familiarity with foreign currency transactions are desirable.
