A reputable logistics recruitment agency seeks HGV Class 1 day and night drivers in Wigan. The role includes operating articulated lorries, conducting vehicle inspections, planning routes, and loading/unloading cargo. Candidates must possess a HGV Class 1 licence, have at least 1 year of UK experience, and be able to work nights. Excellent pay rates between £18.00 to £20.00 per hour are offered.
Qualifications
- Must hold a HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Minimum of 1 year UK experience on HGV Class 1 vehicles.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card are required.
Responsabilités
- Transport goods to various locations using a class 1 articulated lorry.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Plan routes for optimum delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Load and unload cargo securely.
Connaissances
We are actively looking for HGV Class 1 day and night drivers for our reputable logistics client.
Night work, shift times 18:00-06:00
Day work, shift times, 07:00-17:00
Monday to Friday work pattern, ongoing temp work.
Curtain-sider palletised deliveries
- Operate a class 1 articulated lorry to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Obtain a HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 1 years UK experience on HGV Class 1
- No more than 3 points or endorsements (We do not accept TT99, DR10, IN10).
- Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Able to work nights and follow a rota
Excellent pay rates 18.00- 20.00 per hour
