Quality Technician / Quality Engineer - Portadown (Manufacturing / Aerospace)

CLIENT

VANRATH are partnering with a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Portadown who supply into high-spec aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Quality Technician / Quality Engineer to support Quality Management and drive continuous improvement within production.

• Previous experience in engineering manufacturing (precision, aerospace, CNC, fabrication or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with metrology tools (calipers / micrometers etc)
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Production, Quality and Engineering teams

• Experience within a Quality role (PPAP / FAIR / NCR / Root Cause etc)
• Knowledge of AS9100
• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Degree / HNC / HND

• Support Quality Manager in audit activity and continuous improvement of the QMS
• Carry out internal audits and assist with customer / supplier / AS9100 audits
• Support PPAP activities (MSA, SPC, PFMEA, PCP, FAIR)
• Manage NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D / 5 Whys / A3)
• Support reduction of scrap, rework and non‑value add activity
• Support supplier quality investigations and drive zero defect improvements
• Assist with quality reporting, KPI tracking and MRB activities
