QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN / INSPECTOR

ARCA Resourcing is excited to be recruiting for a Quality Control Technician / Inspector on behalf of an innovative and rapidly growing engineering company that is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport simulator industry. With cutting‑edge technology and a commitment to excellence, our client delivers state‑of‑the‑art motion simulation solutions to high‑profile customers in motorsport and vehicle development.

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician / Inspector to join this forward‑thinking organisation and play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and performance of highly engineered assemblies and components. This is an opportunity to be part of a team pushing the boundaries of simulator technology, working on complex mechanical, composite, and electrical systems that demand exceptional attention to detail.

About the Role

In this hands‑on position, you will be central to maintaining the highest standards of quality across a diverse range of components. Working with advanced metrology equipment as well as traditional measurement tools, you will conduct inspections, analyse data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes.

You will also engage with suppliers and occasionally visit customer sites, supporting the full lifecycle of quality assurance across incoming goods, in‑process checks, and final assembly verification.

Key Responsibilities
Quality & Inspection
  • Perform inspection of incoming, in‑process, and final components and assemblies against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Utilise precision measurement tools including laser trackers, 3D scanning systems, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Record, interpret, and report measurement data, creating accurate inspection documentation.
  • Support calibration and upkeep of metrology and inspection tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection capability and efficiency.
  • Assist in developing inspection processes, templates, and work instructions.
Collaboration & Supplier Management
  • Work closely with suppliers to develop aligned inspection methods for made‑to‑spec components.
  • Carry out supplier‑based inspections and support quality checks at external sites when required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Practical experience in inspection or quality control within a precision engineering environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with dimensional inspection tools such as laser trackers, CMMs, or 3D scanners.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T principles.
  • Ability to produce accurate, clear inspection documentation and reports.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ownership mentality with the ability to deliver high‑quality work under time constraints.
