Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Days of working are negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.
To start 1st September 2025.

This post is being advertised as a temporary post. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to East Lothian Works, the council's employability service.

The role will focus on:

• Promoting and delivering our Employer Recruitment Incentive to local businesses and 3rd sector organisations.
• Supporting the delivery of our Paid Work Experience Programmes.
• Supporting the management of our Employability Grant Programme which delivers a range of specialist employability support under the No One Left Behind approach.

The individual will be solution focussed, proactive, and have a passion for delivering innovative employability provision. They will have the ability to see and act on opportunities, be organised, be an able communicator and facilitator. The successful candidate will work at pace and manage a variety of competing priorities.

Please Note:

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Business, Education, Community Learning, Employability and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience.

Evidence of engagement in continued professional development and lifelong learning.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
