A well-established law firm in Leeds is seeking a senior lawyer for its Industrial Disease team. The role involves managing a caseload of high-value Multi-Track industrial disease claims, providing guidance to colleagues, and ensuring quality client care. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record in litigating similar claims and a compassionate approach to client needs.
We're looking to expand our well‑established Industrial Disease team in Nottingham. The team specialises in representing clients affected by a wide range of occupational diseases, including noise‑induced hearing loss (NIHL), hand‑arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), occupational asthma, work‑related upper limb disorders (WRULD), stress‑related conditions, and other complex industrial disease claims. We support clients through challenging circumstances, helping them and their families secure justice, answers and vital support. You will manage a varied and high‑value Multi‑Track caseload, handling all aspects of litigation from initial instruction through to trial, including complex disease cases requiring clear strategy, detailed investigation and confident litigation skills. As a senior lawyer within the team, you will also contribute to maintaining best practice by supervising and supporting colleagues on technical and procedural matters, offering guidance on case strategy and ensuring consistency and quality in client care and case handling. While the role does not involve formal line management, your expertise will help develop others and strengthen a collaborative team culture.
This role is with Thompsons Solicitors, a firm established in 1921 with over 90 years of experience in personal injury and industrial disease claims.
