Construction Consultant Oil & Gas / Chemical / COMAH / Process Plant (Contract Urgent June Start)
A leading project in the process industries sector requires an experienced Construction Consultant for an urgent start in June. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure within a high-hazard, COMAH-regulated environment. The focus is on civil and structural construction, including tankage, piping, and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day construction activities on site with CDM responsibility
Provide procurement support including order tracking and managing equipment deliveries
Deliver technical oversight by reviewing supplier drawings and contractor scopes of work
Track progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders
Supervise cold commissioning activities and compile Handover Work Packs for transition to hot commissioning
Essential Experience and Skills
Demonstrated experience managing construction projects in oil & gas, chemical, or process plant environments
Knowledge of COMAH regulations and how they apply to construction and project delivery
Strong background in managing construction risks including Permit to Work systems and RAMS
Contractor management expertise including drafting scopes, negotiating terms, and site supervision
Ability to manage stakeholders through KPI reporting and schedule adherence
Experience coordinating procurement and reviewing supplier QA documentation
Comfortable working throughout the project on a live industrial site
