Job Description:

Analyst – Performance & Integration

Job Ref No: R6715

Want to help shape a smarter, more flexible energy system for the future?

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Performance & Integration Analyst to join our Energy Systems team and support the delivery of our Distribution System Operation (DSO) transition at Northern Powergrid.

As we work to decarbonise the region and enable Net Zero, our Energy Systems directorate is leading the charge—building a smarter, more resilient electricity network for 8 million people across 3.9 million homes and businesses.

In this exciting and evolving role, you’ll play a critical part in tracking performance, supporting regulatory submissions, and helping communicate the progress we’re making on behalf of our customers. You’ll work across teams to coordinate key activities, develop KPIs, manage data and insights, and drive continuous improvement as we deliver our strategic goals.

If you’re analytical, organised, and passionate about supporting the energy transition, we want to hear from you

Ready to power your career? Let's talk.

What’s the package

Along with a competitive salary between £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience), we also offer great benefits such as:

  • Enrolment into our double-matched pension scheme
  • Annual bonus of up to 10%
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with tenure)
  • Excellent opportunities for career growth
  • Agile policy of 80/20 split in office

What will you do

  • Deliver enhanced communications plans, including web, literature, events and webinars to share the progress we have made in DSO
  • Collecting and reporting of internal management information and operating control frameworks
  • Provide operational support to manage, track and deliver on key regulatory obligations, including:
  • Co-ordinating activity relating the regulatory submissions, including planning activity, engaging with internal stakeholders on content, production of regulatory reports and associated control documents, and refining the process to drive continuous improvement
  • Support business in managing and tracking delivery of key regulatory obligation related activity against business plan objectives, through project planning, development and tracking of KPIs, delivery of communication plans, and support in management of risks and issues
  • Excellent written English, with the ability to write in a formal style to inform and influence
  • Strong planning and organisation skills to ensure timely submission of information
  • Relationship management – influential with internal colleagues to promote a collaborative approach to delivering quality
  • Continuous Improvement – ability to drive continuous improvement and scaling up of processes
  • Strong communication skills – clear, concise, engaging and persuasive communication
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret information, understand and apply it to broader context

What qualifications and experience should you have

  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject
  • Relevant experience of preparing formal written reports
  • Full driving licence is desirable
