A leading healthcare provider in Manchester seeks an experienced nurse for their Cardiac Division. The role involves supervising care standards, mentoring staff, and participating in an on-call emergency team. Applicants must have catheter lab experience, strong leadership skills, and be adaptable. This position offers a chance to influence patient care in a dynamic environment.
We are one of the largest cardiology centres in the UK, operating 9 cath labs across two sites and performing more than 10,000 invasive cardiac procedures annually. We provide 24/7 primary angioplasty services to Greater Manchester, East Cheshire, High Peak and Derbyshire.
Previous catheter lab experience is essential. Applicants must have recent experience within a catheter laboratory setting for a substantial period of time as either a Senior Band 5 or Band 6 Nurse, and a minimum of 3 years post‑registration experience is required. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to teach and nurture catheter lab nurses are essential; candidates should be enthusiastic, able to work within a fast‑moving department, and open to change.
Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts. On completion of the competency programme, the post holder will undertake on‑call duties as part of the 24‑hour emergency team.
