Indirect Tax Senior Manager – Commodities
Job summary
A leading global financial firm is seeking a Senior Manager (or Manager) for Indirect Tax to join their expanding team in the UK. The role entails leading indirect tax strategy, managing cross-border tax issues, and ensuring compliance with VAT/GST for commodity flows. Ideal candidates have significant experience in commodities and indirect tax. Remote work is possible, and visa sponsorship is supported.
Qualifications
- Hands-on exposure to indirect tax in physical commodities, derivatives, energy, metals, or related markets.
- Willingness to relocate or remote work is possible.
- Experience from Big 4 or boutique advisory is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Lead indirect tax strategy, compliance and advisory globally.
- Manage VAT / GST treatment across commodity flows and transactions.
- Engage with tax authorities on audits and controversies.
Skills
A leading global financial and commodities firm is recruiting a Senior Manager (or Manager), Indirect Tax, to join their expanding tax team in the UK. The team arescaling up and seeking a senior indirect tax specialist to lead on transactions and commodity flows globally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Spearhead indirect tax strategy, compliance and advisory across global market, commodity and trading activities.
- Ensure correct VAT / GST treatment across physical commodity flows, derivatives, shipping, logistics, hedging and trading structures.
- Manage cross-border tax issues, multi-jurisdiction trading flows, supply chain structuring and tax recovery.
- Engage with tax authorities and external advisors on indirect tax audits, rulings and controversies
What You Need:
- Essential: Commodities / Trading Experience hands-on exposure to indirect tax in physical commodities, derivatives, energy, metals, or related markets –
- Experience either from tax practice (Big 4 or boutique advisory) or in-house / industry roles is welcome.
- Based in the UK (remote work possible) or willing to relocate; visa sponsorship is supported.
