Summary
This job is responsible for the preparation of optical sub-assemblies: cutting, cleaning and mounting optics and associated parts. Kit picking as requested to maintain Optical kit supply to labs.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Preparation of optical sub-assemblies: cutting, cleaning and mounting optics and associated mechanical parts.
2. Kit picking as required with complete data entry.
3. Liaison with Team Leaders/Managers to assist early identification and control of any works order processing or quality issues.
4. Participation in Company internal audits and stock take routines.
5. Responsible for thorough optics stock control to include data entry.
6. Any other tasks as business needs dictate.

General Tasks
Maintain strict compliance with the quality, environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality, environmental management and/or occupational health and safety officer.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

1. Previous experience of assembly of small, intricate, high value mechanical parts.
2. Understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
3. Excellent dexterity and hand-to-eye coordination.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Observational and analytical skills.
6. Good interpersonal skills.
7. Good written and oral communication skills.
8. PC literate; MS Office suite.
9. Bespoke software (full training will be provided).
