About the opportunity:

Amentum Defence and Security provides design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad. Our team is experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for a Recently Qualified Architect with transferable skills who are passionate about developing themselves and meeting new challenges. We offer hybrid working with the main location being flexible, with some work able to be carried out from home, and visits to sites potentially required. We have base offices in Reading, Bristol, Glasgow, and Warrington.

Our projects include developing solutions through all RIBA stages in highly regulated environments, in support of air, land, and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and both existing and new build nuclear power stations.

You will preferably have experience working in a relevant industrial design and be looking to work in a technically challenging environment. • Delivery of architectural design, assessment studies, and technical documentation through all RIBA stages
• Ability to support the development of complex design deliverables
• Communication and coordination with other design team members
• Attendance of technical and non-technical meetings to assist in the coordination of the design development process
• Adherence to business and quality management systems, operational and design safety, and developing a good safety culture

Here is what you need:

• Experience in industrial and/or highly regulated design sectors
• Good all-round technical design expertise to British and international regulations and standards
• Experience in the preparation and delivery of drawing packages and key project deliverables in Revit
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
• Good level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit and a wider understanding of BIM Level 2
• ARB Registered
• Ideally RIBA Chartered
