Job summary
A local authority in South London is looking for a Head of Homelessness and Allocations to lead and transform housing services. This senior role requires expertise in managing homelessness prevention and allocation of social housing. This is a senior leadership position with a strong hands‑on element. You will be the strategic lead for homelessness prevention, housing register assessments, rough sleeping initiatives, and the allocation of social housing. The role involves managing complex statutory responsibilities, driving service transformation, and ensuring compliance with legal and policy frameworks.
You will oversee:
- Homelessness triage, prevention, and relief services

- Temporary accommodation strategy and quality assurance
