Job summary

A specialist recruiter in the marine sector is looking for an Electrician to install and maintain electrical systems on ships. Candidates should have relevant trade papers and experience in marine or industrial environments. This is a 12-month contract based in Portsmouth with competitive hourly rates.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a marine electrician or industrial background.
  • Good knowledge of electrical trade practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication and installation drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of various types of cables and electrical systems.
  • Fabricating, assembling, and installing electrical parts on ships.
  • Supporting apprentices and junior colleagues when needed.

Skills

Experience as a marine electrician
Knowledge of electrical trade practices
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Understanding of SHE regulations

Education

Relevant trade papers or apprenticeship completion
