To lead the development and delivery of high‑impact digital marketing campaigns and engagement strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive stakeholder engagement, and support organisational objectives such as increasing patient acquisition. This role will manage digital platforms, oversee campaign lifecycles, and collaborate across departments to ensure consistent, compelling messaging.

At the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), we are committed to achieving the best staff experience in the NHS. In the 2023 NHS Staff Survey, we proudly:

  • Scored above the national average for the People Promises: "We are recognised and rewarded," "We are always learning," "We work flexibly," "We are a team," and for staff engagement.
  • Ranked #1 among all Trusts in North and Central London for all People Promises and themes.
  • Ranked #1 among all Acute Specialist Trusts for "We work flexibly."

At RNOH, we’re committed to being actively anti‑discriminatory and actively inclusive. We recognise our brilliant people do brilliant work, and we offer rewarding careers, no matter what their background. We continue to strive to break down barriers to be the Trust where people come together because what they do matters, makes a difference and where they can thrive.

Joining our organisation means enjoying a wide range of staff benefits, including:

  • 24/7 access to wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Programme.
  • A Rewards & Recognition platform, offering opportunities to thank colleagues, send gifts, and access exclusive discounts.
  • A dedicated Staff Wellbeing Hub, providing a space to relax and recharge away from the work environment.
  • Salary sacrifice schemes for transport (season ticket loans, car and bike), electrical goods, and childcare.

At RNOH, we are more than a workplace—we are committed to patients, to excellence and the wellbeing of our staff.

Digital Strategy & Content Management

  • Oversee social media channels, including content planning, publishing, and engagement.
  • Create and edit multimedia content (video, graphics, photography) for digital platforms.
Campaign Planning & Delivery
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of digital campaigns, including audience segmentation, channel selection, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce creative assets and messaging.
  • Monitor and optimise paid digital advertising (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.).
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, patients, and external partners.
  • Source and manage case studies and testimonials, ensuring appropriate consent and sensitivity.
  • Support media relations, including drafting press releases and coordinating interviews.

  • Track KPIs and campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Produce monthly reports and insights to inform strategy and decision‑making.
  • Contribute to board‑level reporting and strategic reviews.
Team & Project Leadership
  • Liaise with contractors as required.
  • Provide training and guidance on digital best practices across the organization with a view to employee advocacy.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, PECR, accessibility standards, and NHS policies.
Essential
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in digital marketing, campaign management, and content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, social media platforms, and CMS (e.g., WordPress).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

  • Experience with CRM systems and email marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of behaviour change and social marketing principles.
  • Experience working in healthcare, charity, or public sector environments.
  • Experience using AI in marketing and communications.
