A leading law firm in London seeks a Senior Associate to join their Reinsurance team. The successful candidate will handle complex coverage disputes and provide advisory support in the insurance sector. Candidates should have over 4 years' experience in reinsurance with strong skills in arbitration and project management. This role involves leading teams, managing client relationships, and contributing to business development. Competitive salary and growth opportunities await in a collaborative environment.
Role: Senior Associate – Property & Liability (Insurance Coverage & Reinsurance)
Location: London
The Reinsurance team at Clyde & Co is recognised as a market leader in (re)insurance coverage disputes, with particular expertise in complex, high-value reinsurance matters spanning multiple parties and jurisdictions. The team advises and represents both cedents and reinsurers, handling the full spectrum of issues that arise under facultative and treaty reinsurance contracts. With deep sector knowledge and experience across common and novel coverage issues, the team is trusted by clients to navigate sophisticated disputes, deliver strategic solutions, and protect their commercial interests in some of the most challenging and technical reinsurance cases globally.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our leading Reinsurance team. This is a key role for a lawyer with strong insurance coverage expertise, particularly in reinsurance, arbitration, and dispute resolution. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of complex, high value matters as well as smaller, fast-moving cases, providing coverage advisory support, drafting and reviewing wordings, and managing contentious reinsurance and insurance disputes.
You will have the opportunity to lead on projects and manage teams, as well as play a central role in client relationships, business development initiatives, and the continued growth of our practice.
When you work at Clyde & Co, you join a team of 500 partners, 2,400 lawyers, 3,200 legal professionals and 5,500 people in nearly 70 offices and associated offices worldwide. Our values are the principles that guide the decisions we make, unite us in our endeavours and strengthen our delivery, for both our clients and our firm. We work as one, excel with clients, celebrate difference and act boldly. We are committed to operating in a responsible way by progressing towards a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities and clients it serves. We are devoted to providing an environment in which everyone can realise their potential, using its legal and professional skills to support its communities. We do this through pro bono work, volunteering and charitable partnerships, and minimising the impact it has on the environment, including through our commitment to the SBTi Net-Zero standard and the setting of ambitious emissions reduction targets.
Clyde & Co is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. Our values encourage us to support fairness, celebrate diversity and prohibit all forms of discrimination in the workplace to allow everyone to excel at work. Therefore, we welcome and encourage all applications from suitably qualified individuals, regardless of background or identity. Learn more about our interview process.
