Job summary
A well-established logistics company is looking for experienced Multi Drop Van Drivers in Birmingham. The role involves operating a van to deliver perishable items, ensuring timely and professional service. Candidates should have a clean driving record, recent experience in multi-drop deliveries, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. The position offers flexibility in hours with potential overtime, alongside training and support throughout employment.

Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a van safely to delivery locations.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Ensure timely and professional deliveries.
- Report any vehicle defects to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Skills
Major recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Multi Drop Van to join our well-established client based in Birmingham (B46). This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier perishable items with plenty of ongoing work available.
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Weekly Pay
- 8-12 hour shifts
- Use of company van
- Self Load Vehicle
- Use of scanner
- Full training provided
- Operating and driving a van safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites
- Knowledge of driving/working hours
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Keeping the van and equipment clean and tidy
- Potentially step up when needed to print invoices, Plan routes
- Sorting out deliveries for customers
- Must have held licence minimum 12 months
- Must have previous recent experience in multi drop deliveries.
- No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
- Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
- Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Must be able to use a computer
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
- Have own transport as start time may change due to deliveries running late or early
- Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
