Production Team Leader – Electronics Manufacturing
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Team Leader to head up a production area at a bright, busy manufacturing site. You’ll be responsible for keeping things running smoothly day-to-day — that means coordinating people and processes to hit key targets around output, quality, and efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the production area to ensure smooth throughput and avoid delays.
- Managing equipment and people, including setup and verification activities.
- Troubleshooting technical issues at the line.
- Supporting new product launches and completing validation checks.
- Training team members to boost capability and support autonomous working.
- Acting as a link between engineering and operations.
- Spotting improvement opportunities and helping deliver smarter processes (equipment, layout, flow, etc).
- Managing stock and kits, including setup and de-kitting.
- Ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.
- Delivering against production plans and quality standards.
- Full line management responsibilities: task planning, holidays, performance, and training.
- Keeping records and systems up to date (stock control, personnel, quality, etc).
- Supporting production planning and reporting on KPIs.
- Making sure machinery and tools are used and maintained correctly.
- Taking part in production meetings and contributing to team goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience leading a production team in manufacturing.
- Background in team leadership or line management.
- Electronics manufacturing a huge plus!
- Great communication skills and confident working cross-functionally.
- Comfortable with production systems and digital record-keeping.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow specs.
- Organised, reliable, and proactive.
- Solid timekeeping and strong work ethic.
