Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Chronic Health Needs School Nurse to join the Children's Community Nursing service. This role focuses on supporting children with chronic health conditions such as asthma and eczema through proactive healthcare interventions. The nurse will collaborate with schools and families to improve school attendance and emotional well-being. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a relevant health-related degree and registration as a Child Nurse.
Qualifications
- RN Child Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
- Previous experience working with children with chronic conditions.
- Evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in area supplemented by specialist clinical training.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic assessments through home and school visits.
- Deliver specialist training to school staff on managing chronic conditions.
- Liaise with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
