Job summary
A healthcare provider in England is seeking a professional to assess and care for respiratory patients. The role involves supervising staff, managing ward functions, and supporting the Ward Manager in daily operations. Candidates should be flexible in working patterns and may work nights, weekends, and bank holidays. This position offers opportunities for personal development in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritisation of treatment.
- Carrying out relevant forms of care with or without supervision.
- Overseeing the day-to-day function of the ward.
- Supporting the Ward Manager with management of the ward.
- Managing post holders within the ward establishment.
- Leading a team and ensuring an effective workforce.
- Assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritisation of treatment, delivery of care and evaluation.
- Carrying out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, demonstrating procedures and supervising qualified and/or unqualified staff within the department.
- Overseeing the day‑to‑day function of the ward.
- Supporting the Ward Manager with the day‑to‑day management of the ward, ensuring staffing levels are safe, raising concerns and arranging cover when necessary.
- Managing post holders within the ward establishment.
- Leading a team and ensuring an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
- Flexible approach to working patterns – rotation to night duty, weekends and bank holidays to support unit operations.
- Relocation policy for eligible candidates; parking available at Trust sites with encouragement of car‑sharing or public transport.
