Job summary
A multinational manufacturer is looking for a Shift QC Technician to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards. This role involves laboratory testing of coatings, developing formulations, and liaising with teams. Ideal candidates will have a qualification in Chemistry and experience in a lab environment. This is a 3-month contract based in Shildon, offering an hourly rate of £16.00. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Qualifications
- Qualification in a Chemistry related subject is required.
- Experience in a laboratory environment is necessary.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are important.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing of paints and sealants.
- Develop new formulations for specific customers.
- Support and investigate customer complaints.

CK Group is recruiting for a Shift QC Technician to join a multinational manufacturer of coatings and sealants at the site located in Shildon, County Durham. This is a 3-month contract. The hours are 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00, Monday‑Friday.
Rate: £16.00 per hour PAYE
Location: This role is located in Shildon, County Durham.
The successful QC Technician will ensure the quality of product manufactured and its accompanying documentation meets industry and customer requirements.
- Laboratory testing of paints and sealants to identify issues.
- Developing new formulations for specific customers.
- Supporting and investigating customer complaints.
- Liaising with other teams to ensure the product is fit for purpose.
- Qualification in a Chemistry related subject.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (either academic or industrial laboratory).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
