We're supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in their search for an experienced CNC Miller with strong Heidenhain programming experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a Time‑Served Machinist who takes pride in high‑precision work and wants to join a dependable, collaborative team.
- Meet exacting customer requirements and deliver high‑quality, precision‑machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Create, load, edit and save CNC programs using Heidenhain controls.
- Set tooling, establish work‑piece datums and plan machining methods for efficient production.
- Monitor tool condition, make adjustments where needed and maintain exceptional housekeeping standards.
- Self‑inspect your own work and ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Time‑Served Machinist with minimum 4 years’ experience.
- Strong understanding of machining techniques and CNC milling.
- Competent in programming on‑machine and offline.
- Heidenhain programming experience – essential.
- CAM programming experience essential; Powermill highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and self‑inspect critical features.
- Experience producing complex parts to tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of mould tools is an advantage.
- Well‑organised, dependable, and able to work on your own initiative.
