Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate STAR 38-B sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, ensuring efficient machine operation.
• Load raw materials and perform precise tooling setups according to job specifications to guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs to achieve correct dimensions and surface finishes.
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and verniers, ensuring all parts meet specified tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Document inspection results meticulously and maintain quality documentation to uphold standards.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any machining or tooling issues to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to suggest and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
