Job summary

Building Recruitment Co Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Service Manager in Cornwall for a 12‑month fixed-term contract. Hybrid working, typically 2–3 days in Tolvaddon office, leading an Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation service for 16–17 year olds.

You will oversee safeguarding, regulatory compliance and service quality, while developing staff and promoting a trauma-informed, strengths‑based approach to help young people transition to adulthood.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in the supported housing sector.
• Experience of developing teams and supporting colleagues to deliver high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Registered Manager and primary point of contact for Ofsted, ensuring compliance with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Lead preparations for Ofsted inspections and monitoring visits, maintaining effective policies, procedures and working practices.
• Provide strong, supportive leadership and develop a team culture focused on safeguarding, inclusion, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents and risks are identified, recorded, reported and managed appropriately.
• Monitor service quality through audits, performance information, feedback and outcome measures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure young people receive high-quality, individualised support that promotes independence, safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
