Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Service Manager to oversee an Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation service for 16–17-year-olds in Cornwall. The role focuses on safeguarding, regulatory compliance and staff leadership within a 37-hour week, with hybrid office arrangements in Tolvaddon.

The successful candidate will drive service quality, supervise a dedicated team, and collaborate with partners across Cornwall to support vulnerable residents towards independence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience within supported housing.
• Strong leadership and people management experience.
• Good understanding of Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and experience with child protection and legislation.
• Experience supporting vulnerable young people, ideally aged 16–17.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and adolescent development.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
• Lead and manage the service, providing guidance, supervision and staff development.
• Oversee safeguarding, risk management and child protection procedures.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure high-quality, trauma-informed support promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Monitor service performance, carry out audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, social workers and partners.
