Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association Limited (NCHA) is seeking a dedicated Young People’s Support Worker for our Retford service. You’ll help young people develop life skills, confidence and independence to move into permanent accommodation.

This 37-hour per week role operates on a seven-day rota, with shifts in the morning and evening. A Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification (or you’re working towards it) is required or you must be willing to achieve it; driving licence desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Support young people to develop independence and life skills.
• Develop, implement and review individual support plans and risk assessments.
• Assist with access to education, employment and training opportunities.
• Support with daily living activities: budgeting, bills, cooking, housing tasks.
• Encourage participation in leisure activities and community engagement.
• Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to safeguard and support.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold professional boundaries.
