Job summary

YMCA Robin Hood Group is recruiting a Life Skills Youth Coach for our Supported Housing service in Mansfield/Ashfield and Nottingham City Centre. You will deliver an engaging learning programme for Looked After Children, Care Leavers and other young adults to develop social, emotional and independent living skills.

You will mentor residents, tailor training to individual needs, and work with staff and external agencies to maximise engagement and progress in life skills and work readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience working with looked-after children, care leavers or vulnerable youths.
• Ability to adapt training to diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Commitment to trauma-informed approaches and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life skills training sessions to looked-after children and other young people.
• Mentor residents and support work readiness and personal development.
• Tailor training methods to individual needs and track progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with staff and external agencies to support service users.
• Promote attendance and engagement in workshops and safety welfare.
