Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker for a residential children’s care home in the Nottingham area. You will lead the on-duty team, coordinate daily routines and ensure the home runs smoothly and safely.

The role requires NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care and experience in complex care settings. You will work 36–48 hours per week on days and nights, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience in a similar role and setting is preferred.
• Experience in complex care, homecare, residential care or similar environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the small team on duty, organize the daily routine, and ensure the home runs smoothly and safely.
• Use positive support and calm de-escalation techniques to handle difficult situations and intense behaviours.
• Implement the young person’s care and support plans, focusing on complex needs.
• Write daily logs, incident reports, and safely manage and administer medication.
• Coordinate with social workers, therapists, and families on a regular basis.
• Plan activities that help the young person learn new skills and gain independence.
