Job summary

Homes2Inspire is recruiting a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Brackley. This full-time, permanent role offers 40 hours per week with regular sleep-ins (£50 per sleep) and a salary of £29,767–£31,579 per year.

The post includes extensive training and progression within a charity‑owned residential care provider. You will support young people aged 5–12, safeguarding and building skills in daily life, under Ofsted standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates compassion and empathy toward children in care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Willingness to work toward QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (funded).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in care.
• Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model with clear boundaries.
• Support with daily routines, household tasks and meals.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Transport young people to school, appointments and activities.
• Help develop life skills including budgeting.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
• Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
