Homes2Inspire, part of Shaw Trust Group, is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker for Cherry House in Brackley. The role involves safeguarding, supporting daily routines, and helping young people develop life skills in a busy residential setting.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering a salary of £29,767 - £31,579 per year with a sleep-in allowance. Sleep-ins are 1–2 per week and volunteering and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Willingness to pursue QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience supporting children and young people in residential settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care.
• Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model while setting clear boundaries.
• Support with daily routines, household tasks, and meal preparation.
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies.
• Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities.
• Help young people develop life skills including financial management.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
• Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (1–2 per week).
