Job summary

Care In Mind is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker for a 20-hour-per-week role in Leeds. You will support young people with mental health needs in residential settings, assisting with education, daily tasks and medication administration.

You will complete online care records, maintain confidentiality and work to a therapeutic framework. Training is provided; shifts include early, late, and some night coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
• Must attend training during employment on weekdays.
• Good written skills to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Basic IT skills for computer work and online systems.
• Good verbal communication and listening ability.
• Ability to maintain professional working boundaries.
• Calmness in emergencies while supporting others.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Promote independence by supporting education, household tasks and life skills.
• Assist with meals, documentation and transition planning for independence.
• Monitor and document health concerns and incidents, including self-harm risk where applicable.
• Provide a supportive and safe environment for young people aged 16–30 with mental health needs.
