Job summary

Care in Mind is seeking a Bank Healthcare Support Worker in Leeds to assist with residential services for young people aged 16-30. The role involves supporting independence, updating online care records and administering medication, with duties including keeping the home tidy and safe.

Training and ongoing mentoring are provided. Shifts are evenings, weekends and bank holidays; previous care experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Good written skills and the ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to listen to others.
• Basic IT skills (Your role will involve some computer work, completing forms, using an online care system, and writing emails).
• An ability to maintain a professional working boundary.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies, supporting others during difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Support the young people to promote independence through education, household tasks and life skills.
• Ensure the home is tidy and provides a homely environment for the residents.
