Job summary

Care in Mind in Leeds is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join our residential service for young people aged 16-30. You will support education, daily living skills, and medication administration while keeping accurate records.

We offer comprehensive training, a supportive team, and opportunities for development. The role requires flexibility for shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays, and a valid UK manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and Bank Holiday.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (not automatic).
• Willingness to attend training on weekdays.
• Good written skills to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use an online care system and email.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies while supporting others.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in Care.
• Desirable: experience with young people with mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence by supporting education, household tasks and life skills.
• Update online care records and administer medications.
• Maintain a homely environment and keep the home tidy.
• Support eating disorder and mental health needs with meal support and documentation.
• Assist with transition to independence, transport access and appointments.
