The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit (YHROCU) is looking to appoint an Administrative Officer within the Regional Technical Surveillance Unit located within Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
This specialist department delivers bespoke technical surveillance assistance and solutions in support of both serious and organised crime; and major crime investigations across the whole of the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who already has a good administrative background to become part of this specialist team.
The Admin Officer will provide a comprehensive administrative function within the YHROCU Technical Surveillance Unit and will have responsibility for accurately recording, disseminating and extracting information from various sources, administration of specialist fleet vehicles and the raising requisitions for the purchasing of equipment and services for the department.
The role is extremely interesting, challenging but also extremely rewarding and the support we provide our customers, the YHROCU and its constituent forces, plays an integral part in reducing the threat, risks and harm associated with serious and organised crime and major crime.
Although the role is advertised as Monday to Friday office hours, there is a degree of flexibility in line with the West Yorkshire Police Flexi-Time Scheme. The police staff flexi time scheme is intended to provide the best service to the community, give us a motivated workforce and meet the needs of the Force. This scheme underpins service delivery, the needs of staff, and is a flexible approach to meeting these needs.
The successful candidate will have development opportunities within the role through additional training to support the department and the YHROCU.
