Job summary

Flourish Education are seeking an experienced Year 1 Teacher for a full-time, long-term placement in Solihull starting in October until December, with potential extension. You will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, differentiate for all learners and work closely with support staff.

Applicants should have QTS and KS1 experience; knowledge of Little Wandle phonics and SEND support is desirable. The role offers a supportive team and a competitive daily rate.

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a full-time teaching role?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Solihull is looking for a committed and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term placement. This is a full-time opportunity starting in October until December, with the possibility of the position being extended.

This is a good opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a supportive school and contribute to pupils' learning and development. You will work as part of a collaborative staff team, delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupils to make consistent progress and achieve their potential.

The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers who can demonstrate successful long-term teaching experience. Experience supporting pupils with SEND and familiarity with the Little Wandle phonics would be Ideal.

As a Year 1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively to promote a productive learning atmosphere
• Assessing pupils' progress and using assessment to inform future planning
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff to meet the needs of all learners
• Supporting pupils with SEND through inclusive teaching strategies and appropriate adaptations

To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Knowledge or experience of the Little Wandle Phonics programme
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or a strong understanding of inclusive classroom practice
• Good classroom management skills and a proactive approach
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners

Working as a Year 1 Teacher in this role, you will receive:

• £168.80 day rate to £232.57 day rate, which equates to £32,916 per annum to £45, 351 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
