Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a well-regarded two-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway to appoint a Year 1 Teacher from January 2027 to July 2027, with a possible extension. The role is based in inner London and aligns to the M1-UPS3 pay scale.

You will join a supportive Year 1 team, plan and deliver lessons to the National Curriculum, lead phonics and early reading, assess progress, and collaborate with colleagues to support reading, writing, maths and wider curriculum.

Qualifications

• Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1.
• Has a secure understanding of phonics and the KS1 curriculum.
• Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 1 class from January 2027.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Deliver high-quality phonics teaching and early reading provision.
• Support pupils' progress across reading, writing, mathematics, and the wider curriculum.
• Use assessment effectively to identify next steps in learning.
• Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 1 teacher and wider KS1 team.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

A well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from January 2027 until July 2027, with the possibility of the role extending beyond the initial contract.
