Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher on a part-time, long-term basis with a November 2026 start. The role is in a primary school for pupils aged 4-11 within a supportive multi-academy trust, offering a nurturing environment and a focus on confidence, independence and a love of learning.

You will plan and deliver lessons aligned to the Key Stage 1 curriculum, differentiate learning, monitor pupil progress and support transitions from EYFS to Key Stage 1.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong understanding of Year 1 curriculum and child development.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning opportunities.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE that means no self-employed or umbrella companies.
