Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites you to join our Dundee branch as Yard Sales Supervisor. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:00pm and every other Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm, supporting customer service, stock control, and delivery operations.

You’ll lead a small team, help with orders, load/unload with a forklift (training provided), manage deliveries, and uphold Health & Safety. We offer a competitive salary and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and sales preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Willingness to undergo forklift training and health & safety duties.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the branch and engage with their projects.
• Learn product lines to offer help and advice.
• Ensure the team is set up for the day, including drivers and route planning.
• Assist with loading/unloading customer and supplier vehicles (forklift).
• Support management and act as a keyholder when needed.
• Check deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
• Maintain stock levels in warehouse and yard with regular counts.
• Keep the branch clean and promote Health & Safety.

In fact, on average you'll find close to 90 years' experience in every Jewson branch! This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm and every other Saturday at 8.00am – 12.00pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
• Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice
• Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
• Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
• Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
• Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
