Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK, part of Stark UK, is seeking a delivery driver in Colchester. You will drive a 3.5-tonne van, collect and deliver customer orders, and ensure accuracy and safety per procedures. Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00–16:30, every other Sat 08:00–12:00.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Forklift training will be provided; loading/unloading is required. We offer a competitive salary, 34 days holiday, a pension with life assurance, and staff discounts through Reward Gateway.

As part of the role, you willbe requiredto drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential. This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:00 – 16:30, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collect and deliver customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders areaccurate, secured and loaded/offloaded safelyin accordance withcompany procedures
• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
