Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK (Jewson) in Leicester is seeking a full-time Customer Service Assistant to join our yard, counter and shop floor team. You will welcome customers, identify needs and deliver quick, efficient service.

You will operate machinery safely, assist loading/unloading and contribute to sales and service goals. Forklift training will be provided; standard hours are Mon-Fri with a rotating Saturday shift.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
