Job summary

STARK Building Materials UK’s Jewson Stockport branch is hiring a Yard Sales Advisor to deliver friendly, efficient service and help customers find the right products.

You’ll acknowledge customers, assess needs, maintain yard and shop standards, operate yard machinery (training provided) and support sales initiatives while building strong relationships with live accounts.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Sales Advisor in our thriving Stockport branch!

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30am – 16:30pm, and every other Saturday from 08:00am - 12:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
