Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is hiring a Yard Sales Advisor for our Torquay branch. This part-time role (27 hours/week, Mon–Fri, start 7:00–9:00, potential Saturday shifts) offers a dynamic, customer-focused environment and opportunities to develop product knowledge and sales skills.

You will greet and assist customers, understand their needs, and keep the yard and shop floor immaculate while contributing to sales and service targets. Training will be provided for forklift use.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely; handle offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
• Support sales initiatives to improve turnover and service levels.
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
• Load and unload vehicles manually and with forklift (training provided).

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Sales Advisor to join our friendly branch, in Torquay ( TQ1 4AS )

Working Hours

This is a part-time position working 27 hours per week , Monday to Friday. We offer flexibility around start times, with shifts beginning between 7:00am and 9:00am.

There is also the opportunity to work every other Saturday, from 08:00-12:00.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service

• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs

• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor

• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles

• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required

• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs

• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
