Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, invites applications for a full-time Customer Service Assistant in Leicester. You will join our yard, counter and shop floor teams, delivering friendly, efficient service and building strong customer relationships.

Key duties include loading/unloading, safe operation of equipment, stock handling, and supporting sales initiatives. Regular Monday–Friday shifts with alternate Saturdays, and training available to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-level customer service and relationship-building.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail/merchant environment.
• Demonstrates positivity, integrity and team collaboration.
• Able to work as part of a team to deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:00 – 16:30 or 7:30 – 17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
• Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs
• Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
• Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
• Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required
• Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
• Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
