The Governors of Fishwick Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who can join our dedicated and caring team from April 2026 or sooner if possible.

Fishwick Primary is a small school situated in East Preston, with good links to the M6. The area in which our school is set is characterised by a high level of social-economic deprivation, but we work hard to actively create a warm, happy atmosphere that enables our children to feel secure and to work towards their individual goals.

The successful candidate will have secure knowledge of both the KS1 and KS2 curriculum. They will also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of how all children's learning needs are best met.

This is a permanent position, initially in a Y6 class with curriculum responsibility for English. At Fishwick we can offer small class sizes, currently 18 in Y6, amazing children and a supportive team.

We would strongly recommend that any potential candidates arrange a visit to school.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
