Overview

Workshop Supervisor – Leicester. Logistics done differently. Are you a skilled workshop professional with strong leadership experience? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency and teamwork are key? We’re looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Leicester. You will work a 4 on 4 off shift, daytime hours. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Oversee daily workshop operations, including workload planning and technician productivity
• Ensure high-quality maintenance and repair work, including service inspections and MOT preparation
• Manage job cards and service schedules
• Control parts spend, ordering and justification
• Deputise for the Workshop Manager when required
• Ensure warranty work is captured and processed correctly
• Oversee QHSE best practice and compliance with legislation
• Handle breakdowns and external sub-contracting when necessary
• Manage absence processes, return-to-work interviews, and day-to-day people supervision

What you need to succeed at XPO

• Qualified and experienced in commercial vehicle maintenance
• Previous supervisory experience within a workshop environment
• Strong understanding of operator licence and legislative requirements
• Experience working with suppliers and external contractors
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• IT literate with the ability to update systems and service schedules
• Resilient, proactive and focused on delivering results
