Job summary

Swansway is seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee a busy technician team and collaborate with the Aftersales Manager to deliver high productivity and first-time repair quality. You will allocate daily workloads, support front-of-house, and continuously review processes for safety, quality and efficiency.

daily duties include coaching technicians, scheduling work to meet customer needs, and assisting with complex jobs while driving performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and coaching vehicle technicians and apprentices.
• Ability to allocate work and monitor performance.
• Strong communication with service advisors and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of technicians and apprentices to meet targets.
• Allocate work within the team.
• Ensure servicing work is carried out correctly and on time with customer satisfaction.
• Provide estimates for servicing and repairs with timescales.
• Record technician time and produce reports.
• Work with Service Advisors to uphold service standards.
