Royal Mail is currently looking to add an experienced Workshop Manager to its Chelmsford site. As the Workshop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cultural change and will be accountable for the performance of your Workshop(s), focusing on key Maintenance scorecard indicators such as Safety, Legal compliance, Cost, People, and Stakeholder performance.
This is an exciting time to join the Royal Mail Fleet team as we work towards our goal of achieving an all-electric delivery fleet by 2035. This involves managing over 50,000 vehicles and trailer assets, including activities like buying and selling vehicles, maintenance, accident repairs, and fuel and supplier contract management.
You will be essential in ensuring fleet performance and meeting operational requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. Your responsibilities include:

You should be fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3) in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or hold an equivalent qualification. You are an experienced team leader with relevant industry knowledge and dispersed maintenance operations experience. Additionally, you should:
