SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Workshop Foreman within our esteemed lifting company plays a crucial and multifaceted role in overseeing the coordination and technical operations within the workshop. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strategic planning, and strong leadership skills to ensure the efficient maintenance of equipment, strict adherence to regulatory standards, and the fostering of a culture centred on safety and continuous improvement. The Workshop Foreman serves as a linchpin in driving operational excellence and upholding the company's unwavering commitment to delivering superior service.

OVERVIEW OF ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Supervision and Technical Support
  • Servicing, Examination, and Testing of Lifting Equipment
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory standards
  • Cultivating a safety-first culture within the workshop
  • Potential requirement to participate in the breakdown service for maintenance/repair of equipment outside office hours.
  • Ensuring correct administrative completion.
  • Collaborating with various departments to understand the customer requirements
  • Co-responsibility for order and tidiness in the workshop.
  • Any other work relating to the workshop.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Preferably certification up to LEEA (or equivalent) Machines Powered
  • Full Driving License
  • Command of the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Safety awareness and understanding
  • 5 years mechanical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in People Management
  • Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure when required
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Able to travel throughout the UK as required
  • Undertake training courses relevant to your role
  • Able to work outside normal working hours (weekends / evenings)
