Job summary

Workshop Facilitator – Fabrication and Welding

Salary: £26,967 - £28,609 full time equivalent (actual salary £13,483 - £14,304)

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Location: Castleford College

Are you passionate about engineering, hands on learning, and helping the next generation of Engineers progress and achieve?
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Facilitator to play a key role in the delivery of our Engineering curriculum. You’ll be at the heart of a busy environment, keeping things running smoothly and safely, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain and organise workshop tools, machinery and materials
  • Support staff by demonstrating, instructing and guiding students during practical sessions
  • Carry out routine maintenance
  • Manage stock levels and ensuring efficient use of resources
Qualifications & Experience
  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant vocational area
  • GCSE in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
  • Experience of working in the Engineering or Education sector
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to achieve within 6 months
