Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a Wiltshire-based workshop recruit a Workshop Engineer (Mechanical). The role is a full-time, on-site position paying £35,000-£45,000 plus overtime and benefits.

You will service, diagnose and repair forklifts and other materials handling equipment in a busy workshop. You'll work with gas, diesel and electric machines, with full in-house and manufacturer training provided to develop forklift-specific knowledge.

Formación

• Experience in servicing and maintaining forklifts or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault diagnosis skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Are you an Engineer with experience in forklifts, plant, agricultural machinery, cars or HGVs?

Are you looking for a workshop-based role where you can develop your skills through full in-house and manufacturer training?

Join an established independent forklift company specialising in the sales, servicing and hire of materials handling equipment across the South West. You’ll work on a variety of machinery, carrying out maintenance, fault diagnosis and refurbishment, with training provided to develop your forklift-specific knowledge.

In this role you’ll work in the workshop servicing, repairing and refurbishing a range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out inspections and prepare machinery for hire, with full in-house and manufacturer training provided.

This would suit an engineer with experience in forklifts, plant, agricultural machinery, cars or HGVs who enjoys hands-on workshop work and fault diagnosis and is looking to develop their skills through full in-house and manufacturer training.

The Role:

• Service and maintain a range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on gas, diesel and electric machines.
• Refurbish machinery and complete pre-hire and off-hire inspections.
• Prepare equipment for hire and transportation.

The Person:

• Previous engineering experience with forklifts, plant, agricultural machinery, cars or HGVs.
• Practical mechanical skills and an interest in fault diagnosis.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to commute to the Wiltshire workshop.
